Doge's Palace The Doge’s Palace is one of the main landmarks of Venice. Although the building dates back to the 9th century, the building you see today is fruit of a reconstruction of the 14th century, due to a bad fire that destroyed the previous one. It is of gothic architecture and based on the sun light that reflects on the facade, it changes color of the marble. The inside will leave you speechless thanks to amazing frescoes made by the Italian artist Tintoretto. In addition, if you cross the Bridge of Sights you can reach hidden prisons that were connected by secret passageways.

Basilica di San Marco The San Marco Basilica is another imposing landmark of Venice of magnificent architecture. It was built in the 11th century and is of a perfect ensemble of two main architectures, Italo-Byzantine and Gothic. The Oriental feature is given by the shape of the domes and the golden insertions, that mixed with the Italian features gives a unique connotation to the church. It is truly one of a kind!
